Default Anybody else finding yourselves berated by henchmen? o.O

Good eyecatcher title?

Anyway, sometimes, after completing a mission or travelling into a new town, henchmen vanish off the party list. Even when I'm not the party leader, travelling with a good friend and guildmate of mine, I KNOW he isn't booting them, because I have a better faster connection than him, and often when they're gone, I've already logged in, and he hasn't.

Seems to be the last 2 henchmen that ditch when they do, or I could just be forgetting the order they were in. It's almost as if they're saying, "You used me as a meat shield, I don't have to take this, loser." or "This team sucks, I'm going to go join a more competent team, see ya'." Or something similar. >.<

I'd love to screencap it, but while screencapping a single concrete feature is easy enough, this is a change, and a still picture can't represent a change. Besides, even if I had fraps, I doubt I'd remember to turn it on at the end of each mission for the chance that the henchmen will ditch.

Happened about 3 times with just my guildie, and once with 2 other guild members. When we arrived, we only had 5 team members- 4 human players, 1 hench, and when we entered the mission, we had 6 team members- 4 human players, 2 hench.

It hardly matters gameplay-wise, as it only seems to happen after arriving in the new town, and that being the case, you can just recruit new henchmen. It's still odd, and slightly entertaining, and I'm wondering if this is a unique rare situation, or if many people have had it happen on occasion.

I'd surmise that it relates to special ID's the henchmen possess, because you lose Alesia, Orion, and (I forget what Devona is >.<) for Mhenlo, Cynn, and Devona, and the hench have different levels (and different skills it seems at times too) at certain points, to determine exactly which of the henchmen it is in terms of name, stats, and profession. If you take the above henchmen in your team through Glint's mission, I believe they get automatically booted (Alesia, Orion, and whoever) from your team, and you have to re-recruit them, only to be welcomed by 3 fresh new faces.
The same thing MIGHT be occurring, only the changes are more subtle.

But that's just one person's speculation.

Certain henchmen will leave your party when you enter certain towns. Concidentally, the henchmen that do are the ones that weren't among the original henchmen (Thom Thumb, the enchanter, and the cultist). The towns they leave from include minor towns and maybe missions between Gates of Kryta and Druid's Overlook.

I reported this in beta, but I guess they never fixed it.

^^^ Yup never got fixed, but then not that big of an issue.

However it does make you wonder if that's part of the cause of the death/run off bug while in open areas.

Where you'll party wipe, and a random cluster of henchies will run off ignoring the geometry in their way, running back to where they died.
